The Hertz Foundation today opened applications for the 2027 Hertz Fellowship, the nation's most competitive doctoral fellowship in the applied sciences, engineering and mathematics. The Hertz Fellowship application closes on October 30, 2026. Fellowship finalists will be named in February 2027, and fellowship awards will be officially announced in May 2027.

The three-year project will explore how industry-informed research, entrepreneurship training and early engagement can better prepare undergraduates for careers in biotechnology and the life sciences.
