Nature Cell Biology, Published online: 07 August 2026; doi:10.1038/s41556-026-02016-5 Li et al. report that FLT3 inhibition impairs selenoprotein translation and induces ferroptosis to suppress FLT3-mutant leukaemia. This can be counteracted by dietary vitamin E, which may disrupt the efficacy of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia.
