Initial demonstration of a quantum heat engine based on dissipation-engineered superconducting circuits

Here the authors demonstrate a cyclic quantum heat engine based on superconducting circuits, showing controlled heating, cooling, and positive work extraction, with measured power and efficiency in agreement with thermodynamic simulations.
