Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, digital contact-tracing has been highlighted as a critical technology to stop COVID-19 transmission. Contact tracing has been a core disease control measure employed by local and state health department personnel for decades. In a pandemic such as COVID-19, communities must scale up and train a large contact tracer workforce and work collaboratively across public and private agencies to stop the transmission of virus. However, it is very challenging to timely prepare.
