Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) is an autosomal recessive disease. The pathogenesis lies in the Nucleotide Excision Repair (NER) genetic defect leading to various cutaneous and other malignancies developing at a very young age alarming the identification of precursor lesions and to adapt preventive measures.
