Fusobacterium nucleatum (F. nucleatum), a key oral pathogen, promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) progression via gut translocation. Although gut probiotics provide colonization resistance against pathogens, antibiotic-induced dysbiosis may facilitate F. nucleatum integration and increase the risk of CRC.
