A New Photocatalytic Strategy Separates Reactant Activation From Product Release

Achieving both high efficiency and high selectivity remains a central challenge in catalytic hydrogenation reactions, as rapid reactant activation often leads to overly strong binding of intermediates and unwanted over-reduction.
