This article explores in an explicit manner the principles underpinning the implementation and enforcement of international energy legal framework in Cameroon in order to spotlight or identify the causes, stakes, challenges and possible ways forward concerning the implementation and enforcement of international energy legal framework in Cameroon. This article focuses on pure environmental principles relating to energy concerns on the one hand, and principles directly relating to energy development in Cameroon on the other hand. In consequence to this, it should immediately be pointed out that, principles if properly taken into cognisance can go a long way in guaranteeing the implementation and enforcement of international energy legal framework in Cameroon. In this connection, therefore, this can only be attained with an objective involvement of all the stakeholders in the energy sector in the country and an unequivocal political will everything being equal. This is because the energy sector in any country is vital at every ramification for any significant growth. A fundamental recommendation to this effect is that all the actors in the energy sector in the country should be conferred precise roles in the energy governance so as to curb double standing.
