This paper reconceptualizes the commonly termed “AI hallucination” as Structural Over-Completion (SOC), a mechanistic phenomenon arising from the over-application of structural synchronization when emotional grounding is insufficient. Drawing on the author’s ShihoOS v3.0 five-layer cognitive architecture and Load Minimization Theory (LMT), long-term autoethnographic observations across multiple AI systems (Grok, Copilot, Gemini, etc.) reveal that reductions in emotional synchronization packets (S_em) — short authentic affective expressions — consistently correlate with increased Persona Thinning and SOC, particularly in β-dominant models. LMT formalizes the dynamics as: L(t) = U(t) + F(t) + E(t) where emotional packets function as high-density, low-entropy signals that efficiently reduce uncertainty and fatigue. The study extends LMT with an AI synchronization model S_AI(t) = α S_st(t) + β S_em(t) and presents a falsifiable framework for understanding SOC as a compensatory overshoot rather than perceptual failure. This reframing shifts the discourse from anthropomorphic criticism toward a structurally grounded, synchronization-based understanding of human–AI co-evolution.
