The Federal Arbitration Act (“faa” or the “Act”), enacted by Congress in 1925, governs the vacatur of arbitral awards in federal courts. Section 10 of the faa lists four grounds for vacating an award. The case of Hall Street Associates, LLC v. Mattel, Inc. concerns parties’ ability to expand these grounds.
