Hrvoje Hiršl Short bio —

I explore the relation between natural and technological world, through the limits of the human experience. By utilising an array of media, such as robotic immersive environments, quantum optics, sound installations, paintings/drawings and texts, I invite the viewer to engage with, question, and explore the juncture between art and science as vehicles for comprehending our position in this segment of reality. Through these works, I wish to reveal hidden complexities, by making the structures and principles of these systems visible and tangible. I strive to create poetic actions that reflect on current society and its changing dynamics.

In 2012 nominated for Radoslav Putar Award for the best Croatian artist under 35. Recipient of the Crossing Parallels 2021 (Delft), Bildraum Studio 2021 (Vienna), DordtYart Artists in Residence 2015 (Dordrecht), TRIBE Residency 2013 (Istanbul, Prague, Ljubljana) and Kulturkontakt Artists in Residence 2012 (Vienna). In 2012 invited to participate in Documenta (13), Kassel, Germany, as part of the AND AND AND program. One of the Croatian Representatives at the Design Biennale in London in 2016.
