Žitnjak Atelier is a unique creative community that practices the coexistence of artists with the local context of the city periphery and its inhabitants, while working on cultural revitalization of the urban urban space and strengthening the influence of art in the community.
The artistic organization Atelier Žitnjak strives to strengthen its peripheral position and achieve significant social influence with a high level of gallery program and other activities, primarily at the local community level (Žitnjak and Zagreb), and then wider, Croatian and regional and international. Under the motto Centering the Periphery, the Žitnica Art Platform continues to develop with a fundamental tendency to raise the bar of social experiment with innovative and critically intoned content and programs and increasing production possibilities, and encourages the development of close, alternative social communities with artistic and cultural background.
