Yadira Silva Rios’ non-linear journey to URI now includes recognition by the Switzer Foundation for her environmental leadership. The first in her family to pursue a doctoral degree, she plans to use her award to fund fieldwork next summer, part of her larger study in how sustainable food futures are defined.
