Beyond the visa: UMBC supports its global community through trainings and human connections

Diane Zeenny Ghorayeb ’20, modern languages and linguistics, M.A. ’22, intercultural communication, UMBC's international scholar senior coordinator, ensures UMBC's international visas is handled with care, accuracy, and a people-first mindset. With constant regulation changes, Zeenny Ghorayeb has adapted her immigration training and taken it on the road to faculty and leadership meetings. More than 350 people have received the training, creating a more informed university on the complexities of working and studying in the U.S.
