Interfacial water controls oxygen evolution beyond the catalyst

Now, temperature-dependent electrochemistry and operando X-ray characterization demonstrate that both catalyst restructuring and solvent ordering dictate reaction kinetics, offering new insights for engineering electrode–electrolyte interfaces.
