In this work, a modified electrode was prepared by modifying a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) matrix obtained by electropolymerizing EDOT in the presence of methylene blue (MB), thus ensuring the entrapment of MB into the PEDOT polymeric structure. The prepared modified electrodes (MB-PEDOT/GCE and PEDOT/GCE) were characterised by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) to estimate the electrochemical and analytical parameters of the noradrenaline (NA) electrooxidation. The recorded CV showed that the NA oxidation current increased sharply at both modified electrodes compared to the bare GCE, where no peak was observed. The analytical parameters of the NA determination estimated from the calibration curves obtained by DPV measurements, at MB-PEDOT/GCE and PEDOT/GCE, showed a large linear range of concentration (2.50–25 μM NA and 5–48.50 μM NA), low detection limit (0.64 μM and 4.31 μM NA), and good sensitivity (3.64 ± 0.17 A/M and 0.42 ± 0.02 A/M), respectively. The proposed modified electrode was successfully applied for the determination of NA in a pharmaceutical real sample matrix.
