PURPOSE: This study aimed to explore the experiences of individuals with knee osteoarthritis (KOA), with a particular focus on their experiences of hope and health. MATERIALS AND METHOD: This is a qualitative study conducted using a content analysis design. Fourteen individuals diagnosed with KOA were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews using a personal information form and a semi-structured interview guide. The data were analyzed using content analysis, and thematic categories were developed. RESULTS: (Pain Trajectory, Balance Steering, Mental Wellness Threshold). CONCLUSION: The findings indicate that individuals with KOA face significant challenges due to joint deterioration and degeneration. Participants suggest that living with KOA can be associated with fluctuations in hope, potential shifts in overall health, and a broad relevance of the disease across various life dimensions. Pain often emerged as a significant aspect of their daily routine, while navigating the disease was frequently described as involving intentional effort. Additionally, many participants shared experiences related to psychosocial distress.
