Redescription of Gyponana germari (Stål) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), a Neotropical species recently adventive in the continental USA, with notes on its distribution, ecology, and behavior

The Mexican leafhopper Gyponana germari (Stål), previously reported in Hawaii, Mexico, and Central America, has recently been documented in the continental United States from Florida. The species is here reported for the first time from Belize, El Salvador, and Honduras. Diagnosis of G. germari and its distinction from other similar Gyponana spp. in Florida are discussed.
