RSU‐Assisted Resource Map Sharing to Enhance Reliability in 5G NR V2X Mode 2

ABSTRACT The sensing‐based semi‐persistent scheduling (SB‐SPS) mechanism in 5G new radio vehicle‐to‐everything Mode 2 suffers from wireless blind spots caused by hidden terminals and half‐duplex constraints, which can lead to persistent collisions in dense traffic. This letter proposes a resource map sharing service, where a roadside unit aggregates a wider‐area resource‐occupancy map and shares it with vehicles to filter SB‐SPS candidates. We analyse interface‐dependent delivery of the resource
