Abstract Optimal electrode formulations were developed for anionic exchange membrane electrolysis cells. These included improved platinum-group metals (PGMs) free cathodic NiMo and anodic NiFe-oxide-hydroxide (Layered Double Hydroxide, LDH)-based electrocatalysts.
