A custom launcher gave my Android tablet the desktop feel it was missing

Lately, I've been using my Android tablet as a laptop replacement when I'm travelling. I hook it to my wireless mouse and keyboard, tweak a few settings to make it work for writing and editing tasks. Android tablets have plenty of hardware power and support productivity features such as multi-window and forced desktop mode, offering greater flexibility for a device that's still bound by its mobile operating system restrictions.
But no matter how many tweaks I made, the interface still felt like.
