Citadel remembers the kind and devoted engineer who helped build its quant team

Citadel is among those paying respects this week to Amit Marathe, an engineer who spent nearly two decades working for the firm and who has passed away in his early 50s.
Writing on LinkedIn, friends and colleagues said Marathe combined humility, wisdom and generosity to the extent that he even donated a kidney to a total stranger. He always had perfect grades but "never carried any air about his intelligence of his generosity," said one former member of his computer science class at university.
