your post was from 2021, but I wanted to mention, as far as why there would be dead cattle and the farmers don’t deal with it. Some of those ranches are HUGE and some herds of cows are like 80+ animals. If you have acres of property and a herd of animals, you may not know exactly how many are in any given area. And if you do notice a cow isn’t in the herd, you can go look for it to make sure it isn’t suffering somewhere, but if it’s already dead, that’s that. It would be impractical to try to dig a grave for every single dead cow. Especially since predatory animals will eat them. When you have a huge section of land like that, it’s easier and better to just let nature deal with it. And in desert areas that are dry, the bones will take significantly longer to break down and decay
