Abstract Jody’s chapter takes a broad look at how religion is represented on film and TV, and what these representations might tell us about how far we have come and how far we still have to go. She considers the nature of caricatures and stereotypes of religion, and how people interpret these. She draws these interpretations from cultural commentaries and from direct interviews with people in the field.
