Research on the impact of industrial robot application on the length of global value chains in manufacturing: a backward linkage perspective

Against the backdrop of advances in artificial intelligence and digitalization, the impact of industrial robots on the global division of labor in manufacturing has become an important research topic. This study conducts an empirical analysis using data on industrial robots from the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) and panel data from 14 sub-sectors of China's manufacturing industry. The results show that the application of industrial robots significantly extends the length of global v
