On breakpoints in polynomially parameterized root loci
This paper studies breakpoints in root loci with polynomial gain parameterization, which are critical for understanding the stability and performance of control systems with complex gain dependencies. Unlike affine root loci, polynomially parameterized root loci require a more nuanced approach due to irregular branch distributions near breakpoints. Using tools from algebraic geometry, such as Puiseux series expansions and Newton polygons, we characterize the local behavior of roots and derive co
