Ritual and modern “politeness” in the Romanian Principalities during the Phanariot period
Abstract The paper focusses on ritual “politeness” in the eighteenth- and early-nineteenth century Romanian Principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia from a historical sociopragmatic perspective.
